The AI Power Problem

Why the grid alone
isn't enough.

Even before the AI revolution accelerated in 2023, data centers already consumed substantial electricity. The estimates for AI-infused data center power draw are extraordinary — and they demand a new approach to energy sourcing.

Tribal Advantages · Phillips Property

Financial advantages that lower your costs.

The tribal structure of the Seminole Energy Campus creates structural cost advantages for private sector clients that no off-reservation data center can match.

§ 0%
Federal Tax Exemption
Tribal enterprises are exempt from Federal taxes. Business entities formed between the tribe and private companies may qualify for partial or full exemption — reducing the effective cost of operations from year one.
§ STATE
State Tax Exemption on Improvements
Tribal trust lands and improvements are exempt from state taxation — significantly reducing or eliminating property tax on data center infrastructure. No competing facility can offer this.
§ SALES
Sales Tax Exemptions
Sales tax exemptions exist for equipment used in operating a tribally owned business. On a 100,000 sq ft data center's equipment load, this is a material capital cost advantage.
§ NMTC
New Market Tax Credits
Available for capital investments on Indian reservations. These credits provide a tax advantage for capital partners investing in the Seminole Energy Campus that is unavailable off-reservation.
§ 20%
Wage Tax Credit
Employers receive a tax credit of up to 20% of wages and health insurance for qualified individuals living on or near the reservation. Data center operations create qualifying employment.
§ 2×
Accelerated Depreciation
Equipment owned by non-tribal partners but located on tribal land qualifies for double depreciation rates — dramatically improving the equity return profile for Sovereign Data Centers and capital partners.
Going Green With Seminole Energy

You don't need a complete
revamp to go green.

Several targeted steps help organizations achieve their green data center goals. Seminole Energy can help you implement each of them — from storage migration to full virtualization.

01
Move Storage to Seminole Green DC
Migrate your storage workloads to the Seminole Green Data Center in Oklahoma. Immediate carbon footprint reduction. Tribal tax structure reduces your cost basis on every rack.
02
Upgrade Legacy Equipment
Legacy equipment degrades and requires more energy over time. Seminole Energy can provision new, energy-efficient infrastructure as part of your migration — improving PUE immediately.
03
Turn Off Dead Servers
Companies often purchase more rack space than needed. Seminole Energy's right-sizing analysis identifies underutilized infrastructure — eliminating energy waste before it becomes cost waste.
04
Server Virtualization
Server virtualization allows a single physical machine to do the work of several — via a software layer that maximizes utilization. Seminole Energy supports virtualization migration.
05
AI-Powered Automation
Innovative AI-driven data center management tools automate energy consumption — reducing power when workloads are light and scaling responsively when demand increases.
06
Green Building Certification
Seminole Energy's campus is designed to support green building certification systems — providing the ratings documentation your clients, regulators, and ESG reporting requirements demand.
Industry Commitments
Atos and HDF Energy announced hydrogen fuel cell data center initiatives in 2021. Microsoft deployed an underwater data center demonstrating radical cooling efficiency gains.
Regulatory Pressure
Significant regulatory pressure on firms to go green — broken into technology standards, pollution standards, and market incentives. Green DC certification is becoming a procurement requirement.
Partners
Iscani Industries — Native American tribally owned construction. Quivera Enterprises parent company. Sovereign Data Centers — data center build and operations partner.
