Longhorn Solar — Everything is Bigger in Texas
Longhorn Solar · McGregor, Texas

"The Sun
Upon Us."

Not a slogan — a fact. Texas receives more solar energy per square foot than almost anywhere in the country. Longhorn Solar exists to put that resource to work for Texas businesses, communities, and the land itself.

A Seebury Multiservice Company
Why Texas

No state on earth is built for solar like Texas.

With more than 300 sunny days a year, a deregulated energy market, and some of the most favorable commercial tax incentives in the country, going solar in Texas isn't just smart — it's the natural next move for any business serious about its long-term costs.

Longhorn Solar brings commercial and industrial solar expertise to Texas operations of every size — from single-facility rooftop deployments to multi-site campus ground-mount configurations. We design, deploy, and monitor everything so you can focus on running your operation.

And because Longhorn Solar is a Seebury company, your system can be integrated into a broader DESAEAT multiservice energy strategy — pairing solar with gas backup, Tesla Megapack storage, or waste-to-energy depending on what your environment actually demands.

Texas wide-open prairie — ideal solar country

Texas's vast open landscape, intense sun, and wind resources make it the nation's premier commercial solar environment.

What We Do

Commercial Solar, Start to Finish

☀️

Solar Panel Systems

Ground-mount and rooftop commercial installations — engineered for your facility's specific orientation, load profile, shading conditions, and long-term energy goals.

Always Watching. Always Optimizing.

Solar Sentinel is Longhorn Solar's proprietary monitoring and optimization platform — giving you real-time visibility into your system's performance from any device, at any time.

Most solar companies install and walk away. We stay. Solar Sentinel means a Longhorn Solar engineer is watching your system around the clock, catching issues before they become outages and continuously tuning for maximum output.

  • Real-time production and consumption data, updated continuously
  • Predictive maintenance alerts before failures occur
  • Monthly performance reports with full ROI tracking
  • Remote system optimization by our Texas-based engineering team
  • Integrated monitoring for grid tie, battery storage, and multi-source configs
  • Weather-adjusted performance benchmarking

Our Philosophy

Solar isn't always the
whole answer.

Sometimes it is. But Longhorn Solar operates under the Seebury DESAEAT methodology — Design Energy Solutions Around the Appropriate Energy Allocation by Technology. We start with your environment and work backward to the right solution, not the easiest sale.

That honesty is what makes Longhorn Solar different. If straight solar is right for your facility, we'll tell you. If you need solar paired with gas or battery storage to meet your 24-hour operational needs, we'll design that instead.

☀️🔋

Solar + Battery + Grid Tie

Maximum independence. Solar generates, Megapack stores, grid backs up. Best for operations needing predictable costs and true resilience.

☀️🔥

Solar + Natural Gas Hedge

Gas as your backbone, solar as your 25-year cost lock. Offsets daytime load and shields you from gas market volatility for the life of the system.

☀️💨

Solar + Wind Balanced

Wind peaks when solar doesn't. Together they deliver near-continuous renewable coverage across all 24 hours and all Texas seasons.

Tesla Commercial Solutions

☀️

Solar Panels & Roof

Generation

Tesla's commercial solar panels deliver industry-leading efficiency and durability — built for Texas heat and designed to produce maximum output over decades of operation.

Solar Roof integrates generation directly into the building structure for properties where traditional racking is impractical or aesthetically unsuitable.

🔋

Megapack

Utility-Scale Storage

Tesla Megapack is the gold standard in commercial and utility-scale battery storage. A single unit stores up to 3.9 MWh — enough to power a large commercial campus through the night.

Paired with a Longhorn Solar array, Megapack turns your solar investment into a true 24-hour clean energy asset with proven reliability at scale.

🚗

Commercial EV Charging

Fleet & Workplace

Longhorn Solar designs and installs commercial EV charging infrastructure — from workplace Wall Connector networks to high-throughput fleet stations — powered by your own solar generation.

We handle permitting, installation, and ongoing monitoring so your parking lot becomes a sustainability-demonstrating, cost-reducing asset.

Reference Projects

At Scale. In the Ground.

Longhorn Solar designs for Texas realities — from rooftop commercial to utility-scale floating solar on reservoir and water body assets.

Floating Solar 248 MWp Ciel & Terre Platform

Hidalgo County Reservoir

South Texas · Floating PV · Ciel & Terre aiR 1280

One of the largest floating solar installations in the United States — a 248.38 MWp floating photovoltaic plant deployed across the Hidalgo County Reservoir using 451,602 PV modules on the Ciel & Terre aiR 1280 platform at a 5° reversed duo pitch configuration.

The project comprises 34 individual floating solar arrays ranging from 1.5 to 19 acres each, spanning array capacities from ~1.0 MW to 11.7 MW. The floating platform reduces water evaporation, improves panel efficiency through surface cooling, and adds dual-use value to existing water infrastructure — no farmland consumed, no ground disturbance.

Seebury and Longhorn Solar deploy floating solar on reservoirs, retention ponds, irrigation lakes, and industrial water bodies across Texas — paired with grid interconnect, battery storage, or DESAEAT multiservice energy configurations as required.

The Longhorn Difference

Why Longhorn Solar

🤠

Texas-Based, Texas-Focused

We're not a national company parachuting in. Longhorn Solar is rooted in McGregor, Texas. We know the ERCOT grid, the state incentive landscape, and what Texas operations actually require.

🔭

We Stay After the Install

Solar Sentinel means Longhorn Solar stays actively engaged with your system's performance long after commissioning — monitoring, optimizing, and alerting continuously, not just at the quarterly check-in.

⚡

Seebury Multiservice Backing

As a Seebury company, Longhorn Solar can integrate solar into a broader multiservice energy strategy — adding gas backup, battery storage, or DESAEAT configurations that no standalone installer can offer.

💰

25-Year Cost Certainty

Solar locks in a portion of your energy cost for the life of the system. As Texas utility rates rise — and they will — your solar generation becomes more valuable every year. We model that return from day one.

Wind turbine blades buried at landfill — Casper, Wyoming
The Problem Nobody Is Talking About

2.2 Million Tons
of Wind Blades
in U.S. Landfills by 2050.

This photograph was taken at the Casper Regional Landfill in Wyoming. Wind turbine blades — built to last 20–25 years — are being buried whole. Hundreds of them. Every year. The wind industry created the problem. Seebury helped find the solution.

Wind Turbine Blade Recycling — The Solution Is Here.

Wind turbine blades have historically been constructed from composite materials — polymers reinforced with glass or carbon fibers — engineered for strength, not recyclability. As the first generation of U.S. wind farms reaches end of life, decommissioned blades are being landfilled at scale.

Seebury has partnered with Carbon Rivers of Knoxville, Tennessee — the company that cracked the composites recycling problem. Their process recovers high-value fiber from turbine blades and repurposes it as industrial feedstock, keeping the material out of landfills permanently.

This is not a future technology. It is operational now — and Longhorn Solar brings it to Texas wind operators who need a decommissioning path that doesn't end at a landfill gate.

Carbon Rivers — The Circular Economy for Composites
Knoxville, Tennessee · Partner Technology

Composites — the marriage of performance fibers with polymer matrices — are engineering marvels with one serious flaw: they resist conventional recycling. Carbon Rivers' breakthrough process recovers the fiber content from decommissioned blades at commercial scale, converting a waste stream into a premium industrial material.

The Longhorn Fence is Not a Fence.
It is a C4ISR Platform.

Longhorn Solar brings 25 years of C4ISR consulting experience to every border security and military base perimeter project. The vertical solar fence is the power and physical spine. The surveillance, sensor, fiber, and command network riding that spine is what turns a property line into an integrated intelligence platform — the same architecture Patrick Stansbury helped design and deploy for US Air Force installations across the Middle East.

Strategic Partnering

Alliances Built to Last.

Strategic partnering is something everyone talks about — rarely are these relationships developed in a successful manner. At Seebury we seek to develop successful joint ventures and project consortia that deliver value to all participants. No organization can do everything.

The Seebury Partnership Equation
(SR)3 + (SV)2 = High Effectiveness

Effective partnerships are a precise combination of Shared Risk, Shared Resources, Shared Rewards, Shared Vision, and Shared Values. Without each element, the alliance is unbalanced — and an unbalanced partnership sows the seeds of distrust.

${[ ["🤝", "Cannot Be Faked", "Each party must genuinely treat the other's concerns as equal in importance. Partnerships sustained on pretense collapse from within."], ["⚖️", "Compromise Required", "Financial rewards must be distributed so that each partner's profit goals are achieved. A lack of alignment in the relationship sows the seeds of a death spiral."], ].map(([icon, title, body]) => `

(SR)³ — The Three Shared Rs
Shared Risk — Each partner bears a fair and appropriate share of risk. No partner carries a disproportionate burden.
Shared Resources — Each commits an appropriate proportion — capital, people, knowledge, or technology.
Shared Rewards — Partners work together to create mutual wins. No partner takes all the upside.
(SV)² — The Two Shared Vs
Shared Vision — Partners hold a common view of objectives, results, and outcomes. They share an understanding of what the alliance is for.
Shared Values — Common value systems and complementary cultures. This is the bedrock — providing the means, motivation, and commitment to resolve problems and grow the relationship.
